Our STory

Where It All Began: New Chapter, Same Values

Okanagan Civil Constructors Ltd, is locally owned and operated by Ron Stewart and Jason Gedig. Born and raised in Penticton, BC, from their youth, they both grew up with a passion for the industry. Jason’s civil construction career commenced in Penticton in 1994, evolving into ownership of his own company in Kelowna in 2000. Ron Stewart initiated his civil construction journey at the age of 16, and their collaboration began in 2002. Both mentored by industry experts, Ron and Jason strive to impart that knowledge to their team.

Following several successful years of collaboration, they formed one of the largest civil companies in the Kelowna area, attracting attention from major corporations. In 2018, they decided to sell a portion of the company, and in 2022, finalized the sale. Despite this transition, Ron and Jason’s passion for construction endured. Recognizing the need for a quality contractor in the South Okanagan, they regrouped and founded Okanagan Civil Constructors in Summerland, BC.

Today, Okanagan Civil Constructors is more than a collection of individuals; it embodies the collective strength, dedication, and expertise each member brings to the table. With a wealth of knowledge and know-how, our team is well-prepared to undertake a diverse range of civil construction projects. We are committed to excellence and are thrilled to be back, doing what we do best—building the future of the Interior valley.
