About The Project
The Wharton Street Revitalization includes several upgrades and improvements to enhance Summerland’s downtown core, including utility upgrades, roadway and pedestrian improvements, and the creation of vibrant public spaces. Construction began in May 2025 and will continue until November 2025.
Project Highlights:
- Replace existing 200mm Cast Iron watermain with PVC.
- Replace existing storm main with 600mm PVC.
- Relocation of overhead power lines to underground conduit (Armstrong Avenue to Victoria Street), including Rogers & Telus conduit, streetlight bases, kiosks, service boxes and vaults.
